DTF Printing
Direct-to-Film transfer printing — full-color artwork pressed onto garments with no screens, no color limits, and no minimum order. From one piece to a thousand.
Full-Color Prints Without the Setup
DTF printing lets us transfer detailed, full-color artwork directly onto your garments — no screens to burn, no setup fees to pay. That means a 12-color design costs the same as a 1-color design.
It's the go-to method for photo-quality prints, complex logos, and small runs where screen printing setup costs don't make sense. You get vibrant, durable prints whether you're ordering 5 pieces or 500.

DTF + Screen Printing = Best of Both
Some jobs are better suited for DTF, others for screen printing — and plenty of orders use both. DTF handles the complex multi-color artwork. Screen printing covers the big solid runs at a lower per-piece cost.
You don't need to figure out which method to use. Tell us what you need and we'll put together the right combination for your project and budget.
Questions About DTF Printing
Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing transfers a full-color design from a special film onto your garment using heat and pressure. No screens are involved — the design is printed digitally, so there's no setup process like screen printing requires.
Screen printing uses physical stencils (screens) for each color — so a 6-color design needs 6 screens. DTF prints the entire design digitally in one pass, regardless of how many colors are in it. DTF is ideal for complex artwork and small quantities. Screen printing is more cost-effective for large runs of simple designs.
There is no minimum. You can order a single piece if that's what you need.
DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, and most fabrics. It prints on any garment color — dark, light, or anything in between. T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, hats — if it can take heat, we can print on it.
Very. DTF transfers bond directly to the fabric fibers under heat and pressure. They hold up through regular washing — just wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry low. You'll get years of wear out of them.
Yes. DTF handles photographic detail, gradients, fine text, and complex artwork that would be impossible or extremely expensive with screen printing.
We can produce DTF transfer sheets (gang sheets) that you press yourself. Reach out and let us know what you need — we'll get you pricing based on your artwork and quantity.

Built on Results.
For DTF printing in Petoskey, MI, Personal Graphics prints full-color, photo-quality designs on virtually any garment right here in Northern Michigan. DTF (direct-to-film) means no minimums, no screen setup, and detail that screen printing can't match on a one-off run. Whether you need a single custom tee or a small batch for your shop, we print it locally and you can pick it up at 270 Creekside Dr.
What DTF Printing Is
Direct-to-film printing transfers a full-color design from a printed film onto fabric using heat and pressure. Unlike screen printing, there are no screens to burn and no per-color charges, so a four-color logo costs the same to set up as a one-color one. The result is a soft, durable, stretchy print that holds up wash after wash. Because it works on light and dark fabrics alike, DTF is the most flexible decoration method we offer.
Local Service, Faster Turnaround
Being based in Petoskey means Northern Michigan customers skip the long shipping windows that come with out-of-state print shops. We keep turnaround faster than most competitors, and when your order is ready you can collect it in person at our Creekside Drive location instead of waiting on a carrier. Need to talk through artwork or fabric first? Stop by and see us — there's no substitute for handing your design to a real local team with an in-house graphic designer.
No Minimums, Full Color, Any Garment
DTF has no minimum order, so a single custom shirt is just as welcome as fifty. We print across the catalog — t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, bags, and more — and every order includes a FREE proof before we print so you see exactly what you're getting. Full-color gradients, fine detail, and photographic artwork all reproduce cleanly, which makes DTF ideal for complex logos, small business merch, event apparel, and personalized one-offs.
When to Choose DTF vs Screen Printing
DTF wins when you need small quantities, lots of colors, or intricate detail without setup costs. Screen printing becomes the better value once you're ordering larger runs of the same simple design, where the per-piece cost drops and our volume discounts of up to roughly 45% kick in. If you're deciding between the two, our custom screen printing services page breaks down the trade-offs — and we're happy to recommend the right method for your project and budget when you request a quote.
